buenos aires: then & now

Buenos Aires, Argentina, Casa Rosada, then & now

In a previous incarnation of this blog, I posted a series of then & now shots from around Buenos Aires… an interesting way to look at the city. All sorts of problems need to be overcome: different makes of cameras, different fields of view, & increased traffic/people. Some pics have years when known, but most do not. Enjoy comparing the past & the present!

A set from Retiro taken in 2006:

A single shot of the Obelisco:

Several from Diagonal Norte, also from 2006:

  1. As Jane Austen said: It is a truth universally aknowledged that a neon sign of CocaCola or McDonald’s ruin every view, whatever the year.

  2. Definitely agree. But the new panel on 9 de Julio is kinda cool… only because it’s so high-tech. I’m sure the novelty will wear off soon 🙂

  3. Long time no seeing but a pleasure still to read and see your blog… the Jane Austen quote mode me laugh out loud.

I do thank ElRicky for that. =)
