Only a single roll for this month, but some historically relevant photos of Buenos Aires.
Observations: This set of photos appears to be dedicated to a single walk through the neighborhoods of Congreso/Balvanera, Retiro & Recoleta. That explains why the light isn’t always the best… but this is interesting because my future exploration of Buenos Aires would follow the same model: walk from A to B while recording whatever grabbed my attention.
Of note are a quick & dirty capture of Tribunales (the Supreme Court building) before any restoration took place, an image of Templo Libertad before I knew photos weren’t allowed, & a lovely street scene which I’m certain is the 1900 block of Pacheco de Melo in Recoleta. Funny how I’d live not too far from there in the not too distant future.
Hope you’ve enjoyed this glance at the past. Read about the genesis of this project, & if you were also in this particular time & place, drop a comment below!
