  1. Quite a grind, but with Aerolíneas you get to stop over in Trinidad… how cool would that be?! And did you notice that Aerolíneas used to have their office where Trump Tower is now located in NYC? Wedged between Tiffany & Gucci… how the mighty have fallen.

  2. I love these ads! Reminds me of the sort of copy Sterling Cooper Draper Price would put together. And they offer a sliver of cultural economy from the time period too. A quick search on the interwebs revealed that with inflation adjusted, $930 in 1948 converts to around $8600 in today’s dollars. So only the very lucky few could take such leisure trips!

Thanks for the find! These are real treasures of a bygone era for both the US and Argentina.

    1. Thanks, SonT in DC! I couldn’t believe it when I stumbled across these… the graphics are fantastic. Interesting find about how expensive international travel used to be. I remember as a kid calling Delta Airlines to see how much a r/t ticket to Paris would be from Memphis in the 1970s. Something like $2000! Definitely out of reach at the time.

I’d love to find more old PR from Aerolíneas. I’ll definitely post it here if I do. Saludos!
